XO Chinese Chips by Rina’s kitchenette
“I finally got to try the highly-recommended Wok Tossed Fries from XO Chinese Chips by Rina’s Kitchenette, and I must say, they exceeded my expectations! The location is conveniently situated on Sarfaraz Rafiqui Road, adjacent to PAF Cinema in Cantt, Lahore.
I ordered a variety of dishes to try, including:
Honey Crunchy Beef and Chips
Kung Pao Chicken and Chips
XO Chili Wings
I must say, I was impressed with the unique concept and internet-inspired menu options. The crunchy beef and chips reminded me of Korean Bulgogi Fries I had abroad, and the Kung Pao chicken and chips were flavorful and delicious, thanks to the peanut toppings and sauce.
What stood out to me was the quality of the skinny fries or chips, which are hand-cut and made fresh, not frozen. The effort and time put into deboning the chicken wings (only using the elbow part) was also commendable.
The wings were crunchy, flavorful, and spicy, topped with a scrumptious XO chili reduction. I appreciated the efficient and quick service by the staff, and I’m looking forward to visiting again soon to try more items.
However, I do have a few suggestions for improvement:
- Increase the meat quantity in the dishes, as I found it a bit less in comparison to the fries. Consider adding an option to add extra meat to the menu.
- Offer drumlets as an option for the chicken wings, as not everyone may prefer the elbow part.
Overall, I enjoyed my experience at Rina’s Kitchenette, and I’m excited to see what other delicious options they have to offer!”
